  • Network & Advocate. PTA can be a more effective way to suggest changes at your child’s school and in the education community.  PTA is a great way to meet other people, build rapport and discuss ideas or concerns.  PTA is a successful advocacy group because of our membership numbers and non-partisan focus on child safety & education legislation.  Learn more at: http://www.georgiapta.org/resolutions-and-position-statements/

Welcome to Baker Elementary PTA!

Baker Elementary PTA’s 2018-2019 Executive Committee had a blast representing Baker Elementary PTA, Barber Middle School PTSA, North Cobb High School PTSA, and Tom Mathis, Sr. Council at Georga PTA’s Convention Leadership Training in Augusta, Georgia!

We learned a lot about each other, performing our roles within the school, what PTA does on a larger scale, and how we can help make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

We want to help you learn more this year and welcome you to  Baker Elementary PTA.

Our officers will be available during New Student Registration at Baker Elementary, on Wednesday, July 11th to answer questions and help you sign up.  Membership is only $5.00 ( cash or check, please.)  New Student Registration Information.

Want to take the next step and become a volunteer?  Please, contact Debra Prather at DLPBakerPTA@gmail.com.  Thank you for your interest in Baker Elementary PTA!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Blog Image Teacher Appreciation

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week.  Please, take a moment to thank the Baker Elementary admin, teachers, and staff that work to encourage and engage our students in the learning process.  Some people choose to give a gift but appreciation doesn’t need to cost a lot.  A heartfelt thank you note can be very encouraging to an educator.  Check out some other ideas at www.pta.org and ptaourchildren.org.
